Norton 360 or VPN not installing on android device

I purchased a norton 360 premium package for 5 devices. Google Play Store will not allow the download of norton 360 or the VPN to the device stating it is not supported. The device is an android TV box - EVPad 5X. I have checked other anti-virus apps and other VPNs and all can download and install to the device including Nord VPN and Express VPN. I have tried all the tricks posted on the internet to overcome Play Store errors including clearing the cache and updating the operating system of the device. I need to know if Norton can help me resolve this issue.

If other AV and VPN apps will load and run on your TV box, you  will have to choose one of those. Norton does not support devices that use proprietary versions of the Android OS. 

Have you actually downloaded the other apps, or are you just going by the Play Store saying  you can?

I have been able to install and use Nord VPN on the TV box without issue as have others in my social circle.

I have been using Norton for years for my anti-virus needs and had relied on the VPN being across Windows, Mac, and android. I guess I wasted my money on buying coverage for 5 devices when Norton does not truly work on all the devices. It is strange that all the new players in the game of protection do but not Norton.

Thank you for your reply. It makes my decision simple. I do hope that Norton will provide me with an official reply as I assume you do not work for them. Even the support chat does not respond when I try.

You are correct. I am not a Norton employee. Just a user like you that volunteers my time to try to help others from my experience with Norton products.

If you want to try chat again,  as soon as you can enter any information, enter "agent please". That will get you out of the chat bot and connected to a human. 

This device is similar to Amazon fire devices, Chromebooks, TV's and a number of other devices. Although their OS's are based on Android, Norton does not support them because of proprietary changes made to those OS's. The VPN apps probably do not need the level of security that an AV product does because its app is encrypting all data anyway. That may be why other VPN providers are supporting your device. Have you tried any other AV products on that device, to see if you are able to install and run them?
