2 Ques: "Norton Management" uninstall; Windows 9

1) After upgrading to Norton Secuity with Backup on two computers, one retained a separate folder from previous installations called "Norton Management.". Is this folder still needed with the latest version of Norton or can it be uninstalled?

2) I will likely be upgrading to the "Windows 9/Threshold" Technical preview to be released to users in a couple of weeks. Does anyone know if the new Norton Security will work with this (even if not supported)?

  1. If you're talking about a Desktop shortcut, yes you can delete it.  If you mean an installation folder located in Program Files (x86) no.  That needs to stay.  If you mean a separate program called Norton Management left over from I think NIS 20, then yes you should be able to uninstall that, but please confirm what you are referring to before you "delete" anything.
  2. You will need someone from Symantec to answer that.
A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.
