2 Questions

1. I bought Norton Internet Security on a disc in 2009. I have since upgraded to 2008 and 2009 free as part of my subscription. This is through alerts that have appeared. I want to format my computer, but am not prepared to install 2007 and then wait for the alert. Is there a download link for the 2009 version? (I have a product key to insert).

2. Does anyone know if NIS 2009 is compatible with Windows 7 Beta?

Hi MrBigMan,

You can download NIS 2009 here. This is version 16.1.0.33, however through the Live Update process you will receive the 16.2.0.7 version.

Here is a post from a member who reports that NIS 2009 is compatible with Windows 7 Beta.

The official Symantec position, understandably, is that they do not support Windows 7 (or any other BETA) -- there's a message from them on this in another thread.

However "not support" does not necessarily mean "not work with" ..... I would expect some of it to work since WIndows 7 is NT6.1 while VISTA is NT6.0 by Microsoft's own statements ...... and some of it not to work ....
