3 of 4 computers show in Norton Management under devices.

In Norton Management under account it show all 4 of my computers.  Yet under devices it only will only show 3.  Worked with online support for a few days and they could not figure it out.  When I put antitheft on the 4 th computer then the one of the devices will switch under devices.  Then the next time I logon to the computer that disapeared from devices says I need to install antitheft again.  If I do they will switch back.  I can go back and forth all day.  Does anybody have any ideas?

Hi,
I'm not sure that anti theft is being supported at this point. Which might explain why it doesn't play well with the rest of the family.

If you can live with the problem please do. If not then it may be time to reevaluate which products you use for what purposes.

Antitheft was supplied with Norton 360.  Even if I don't use antifheft it still does not solve the problem of Devices not showing more that three devices in Norton Management.  If they alow you to install on five devices it should be able to show them all.

What are the trust levels on the computers? Are they all the same?

Thanks for your reply.  I will have to check.  It will take some time as the computers are not close togeather.

Re: 3 of 4 computers show in Norton Management under devices.

I have tried everything that I can think of.  It is doing the same thing with Norton Security.  After being on chat with Norton I uninstalled everything using Norton removal tool.  Then reinstalled everything.  Same problem.  Remote management is on, on all devices.  It shows the correct devices under services.  Under devices there is one still missing.  Does anyone have any ideas?

Re: 3 of 4 computers show in Norton Management under devices.

Hi aceindallas:

Have you found a solution?  If not, log in to Norton Management from your browser at https://manage.norton.com/ (i.e., not from the Account link in your Norton GUI), click the Services link, and select Active from the Show dropdown list.  If you have more than one active service for your antivirus software (e.g., N360, N360 Trial, NS), make a note of the product name, expiry date and product key for each service.

Then go to each individual computer and confirm that Remote Management is ON (Settings | General | Other Settings | Remote Management).  If Remote Management has disabled itself on one of the computers, see MrT_'s thread Missing Device in Manage your Norton Products . When Settings | General | Product Security | Non-Admins Access to Settings is disabled (which I believe is the default setting) you will not be able to turn on Remote Management (Settings | General | Other Settings | Remote Management) unless you are logged into the computer with a Windows user account that has Administrator privileges.

Once you have confirmed that Remote Management is enabled in all four machines, go to Support | Subscription Status from the main Norton interface to sync each device with your account.  Do all four machines show the identical product name (e.g., Norton Security), days remaining on the subscription, and the max. number of PCs allowed by the subscription?  If yes, log out and then log back in to Norton Management from your browser at https://manage.norton.com/ and see if all four devices appear under the Devices link.

Edit:

Also note that Norton Anti-Theft is officially discontinued as of today (02-Dec-2014), although the software should continue to function until the end of your subscription period.  See the end-of-life announcement here for more information.
