400 Bad Request at Norton.com login

My Norton Internet Security was about to expire so I just upgraded to Norton Internet Security Premium. The updated app appears to be working correctly, but I can't log in to my account on Norton.com from Chrome. After entering my username and password the next screen is white with the message "Bad Request. Your browser sent a request that this server could not understand. Size of a request header field exceeds server limit." If I try the same using FireFox, I just get a blank white page, no message. The only way I could log in was to use Edge which is not my default and I don't like. Chrome is my default so I deleted all Chrome browser cookies. That didn't work. Then I rebooted and that didn't work. I'm running Windows 10. I also get the message "This page isn't working. If the problem continues, contact the site owner. HTTP ERROR 400" when I click on the Norton Safe Search extension on my Chrome tool bar. Is there something I need to turn off in Chrome settings? Any ideas?

Thanks.

https://status.norton.com/ doesn't show any errors.  Can you login at https://my.norton.com/?

No, I can't. It tells me the site can't be reached. Also, I've discovered that Password Manager isn't working either since it routes me to my default Chrome browser and says Bad Request. I wonder if there is a Chrome setting I need to toggle on or off. Or maybe a firewall issue.

Re: 400 Bad Request at Norton.com login

bjm,

Thanks for the link to the LifeWire article. I had previously cleared my browser cache, but apparently I hadn't cleared it far back enough. Once I set it to clear from the last 4 weeks, I was able to login to Norton.com and use the Norton Safe Search without anymore errors.

Thanks!
