Accessibility turns off for Applock on reboot

Norton Applock needs Accessibility to be turned ON on Android for it to function even on reboot. However as soon as the mobile is rebooted, the accessibility turns off automatically thereby rendering applock unusable. Phone info:

1) Android version: 6.0

2) Make/ model: Micromax Canvas Spark 2 Plus

3) Kernel: 3.18.19+

Try uninstalling App Lock, reboot the device, and see if the Accessibility setting still gets turned off when you reboot the device.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Applock on 'settings' set to on, sometimes fails. Accessibility is on for Norton.

I never got a reply from the OP. Did you try my suggestion?

Have you updated the AppLock app? And Restarted the device?

Re: Accessibility turns off for Applock on reboot

I think there was some problem with the build itself. What I found was that on this very phone, but with a different build, the Applock worked fine. I tried with many other applock services. I got to the handset manufacturer's service center and asked them to revert to an older kernel - 3.18.19. That solved my problem. So I guess the problem was not with the Applock rather with the kernel build

Thanks for posting back. Although having to revert to an older build of Android OS is not really a solution, it does give some information to pass on to Norton to help troubleshoot.

You went to the phone manufacturer's support. It is possible that your cell carrier had some proprietary changes to the OS. Who is your carrier? Norton may be able to use this information as well.

Another question for you and D_ave   Are your devices Rooted? Another user found issues with the Device Accessability for Norton getting turned off when they restarted their phone. Check this thread to see if it applies to you.  https://community.norton.com/en/forums/norton-security-service-disabled
