activities list no longer allows us to add a URL to the allowed list
The latest portal for Norton Family no longer allows the URL for a blocked site to be added to the allowed list. Now you need to copy the URL, click into the "house rules" area, scroll down to the "allow" field, paste it in and save.
This is a downgrade in usability.
Please add back into the "activity" section the ability to immediately allow/whitelist the URL. The ability to allow an entire category - which remains - is not sufficiently granular.
Thanks

Hi MBsyd,
Thank you for your feedback. We'll add this feature in few weeks.
Re: activities list no longer allows us to add a URL to the allowed list
I came here as soon as I tried the new user interface. What a HUGE downgrade! Not only can we no longer add a site from the overall activity list, as pointed-out by the original poster, but we can't even do it from the individual child's activity list. You only have the option to allow or block the entire category. And that's only after you can figure out that you have to click the tiny little down arrow to even get that option. Where is the quality control for user interface design, Symantec? Come on! Why in the world would you take that functionality away and make it so much more difficult to allow or block a specific site?
Also, it's much more difficult to even get to an individual child's Web activity list. You have to find the little "View Details" link to see just their activity.
AND... You took away the ability to see only the BLOCKED sites!!! What??? Now, I have to scroll through tons of allowed sites and try to find the blocked sites. That makes no sense, whatsoever! Please, please, please.. give us back the ability to easily see blocked sites and the options right there to allow them, should we want to do so.
Was there ANY customer feedback gathered at all before releasing these UI changes? I can't imagine these changes were approved by real users.

Hello GeekyDad,
Thank you for your feedback on the user interface design. We assure you that we’re working on each of the concerns that you have raised.
We’re collecting feedback and suggestions from all our customers and enhancing the interface further. The options to allow/block websites will soon appear both in alert page and in activity page. We’re also adding back the ability to list only the blocked (or warned about) sites so that you can view them separately from the allowed sites.
Re: activities list no longer allows us to add a URL to the allowed list
Hi Everyone,
We would like to inform you that we have released the functionality to block/unblock a website from activity or alert. You can do this in 2 ways:
2. From Web activities, go to any web activity and click on three dots to bring up the options available. You will see the option to block/unblock the website
To view the list of allowed/blocked website, or if you wish to add/remove more websites, please go to child's web house rules and scroll down.
Thank you so much for your valuable feedback, please let us know if you still face any difficulty using the Norton Family product.
Thanks!
