ad pops for other service

this may be hard to explain or  for you to know  hat  i am talking about every once and a while my Norton antivirus  will have  a popup asking me or telling that   like for example  my address may be at risk or that   i need a vpn etc   some sort of advertisement to buy more products.  how do i stop those popups from coming  up . is there  some sort of setting  i can use to  turn them off
