Adding a third device to my susbscription

Hi Everyone,

I never thought hoped I'd need to come back to the forums again, thins have been running nicely for so long.

My current problem is adding a third device to my network. I have a desktop and a laptop and am trying to add NIS to another desktop. Did the add a device e-mail to the third device, entered the Product Key from the first device and got a big red banner stating "Subscription Expired ...". I brought up NIS on the laptop and found the Product Key did not match the key on desktop one but at the bottom it says Subscription Status "28 days remaining | renew" NIS on the laptop has current updates and 4 hour ago last scan. Also under My Account  I found 2 subscriptions both with 2 used seats and 1 available. Also saw a notation "accounts merged" ???

I'm confused and frustrated.

Your help would be greatly appreciated,

If you install from the email you sent from your Norton Account, you should not have to enter any key. The copy you download is pre activated. Be sure you are restarting your computer after the Norton installation to ensure the installation is complete.

If the new computer has Windows 10, you should disable the Fast Startup feature. It can interfere with programs getting fully updated. If you use Windows 8/8.1 or 10, there can be an issue with the Fast Start feature.. See more information here.

If the computer you are trying to add is a new computer, be sure that there is no other security trial products included. If there is, you need to fully remove it with the removal utility from that company.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Identity Safe data.
