After rebooting, I had to login to my Norton account before opening the Vault
After rebooting yesterday, when I clicked on the 'Vault Closed' tab on the Norton toolbar I was asked to login to my Norton Account. Only then was I asked to enter my Vault password.
This has never happened since my initial setup of my online vault many months ago. To see if this was a fluke, I rebooted my other PC and the same thing happened. Prior to rebooting the second PC, I noticed that the Vault was already closed on that PC, and when I tried to open it, I entered my Vault password but the "Vault is opening" message just sat there and spun.
looking at the board, the only thing I see that might be related is the release of the patch for Firefox 26. Are the symptoms I experienced related to that patch, or is it something else?
I am running Norton 260 18.104.22.168 with Norton Vulnerability Protection 22.214.171.124-1 and Norton Toolbar 2014.6.2.3, although since I just checked the levels of the add-ons in preparation for writing this post, I have no idea as to whether the patch was installed before or after I experenced the problem I described above. No one has ever been able to explain to me how to go through the multiple per/day LiveUpdate entries to locate a specific update.
