Have you restarted your computer? Not shutdown and startup again. The latest update required you to restart your computer.
Thank for your reply peterweb,yes I did a restart,I also uninstalled and re-installed and it work ok,but once I did the Smart update and restarted it would not open.
Well I would just try to reinstall NU again and forget the update. There is no need to do the update as there have really been no updates since before Win 10 was released. The latest update was for some back end details.

None of the solutions given have not already been tried by myself (multiple times) and by Norton technical staff (multiple times) still will not load.
What operating system are you using, and version number?
If you have an older NU installer downloaded, try using that.
Try uninstalling NU, then restart your computer. RESTART, not shutdown and startup again. Then install NU again and restart your computer a couple of times. DO NOT run the smart update. Then see if you can get NU to start.
