However, you will not be able to update the Norton 360 app to the newer releases that include product and service updates and security fixes.

From the product announcement in my link above....

However, you will not be able to update the Norton 360 app to the newer releases that include product and service updates and security fixes.

So you will not get any security fixes above what you last got when you could update. Also, any new features that were introduced after your Android 6 device was no longer supported will not be installed.

Sorry. But that cannot be done. There is an announcement on Android 6 and 7 no longer supported here.    https://community.norton.com/en/forums/end-support-announcement-norton-3...

At the bottom of that announcement it is noted that you can still use an already installed 360 app, but you will not be able to update it.

Re: ANDROID 7 SUPPORT RIPPED OUT FROM PHONE WITHOUT WARNING

I am running the older Norton 360 version #   5.17.2.210909032 on my Android 6 phone.

I cannot get any updates but it is still running well. I guess what I don't know is what I might be missing in any of the updates I cannot access. Paying $200 to $300 or more for a new phone is off the table right now although I am having trouble with SmartLock also and maybe getting up to speed with Android 11 or 12 might not be a bad idea.
