Android app lock loses settings

I set up App Lock to protect several apps, then later changed my mind about one of them and unlocked it. Now each time Norton updates, that app is locked again until I go back and unlock it again. ?

Re: Android app lock loses settings

That sounds odd. There are a couple of things that might help.

First, the settings may get muddled, and resetting them all might work. Try unlocking all apps. Restart the device and then reset the locks. Then test to see if this happens again.

If that does not help, try removing the app data in Android Settings. To do this, you first need to deactivate the Device Administrator setting for App Lock. Tap on the 3 bars at the top of the App Lock page. Then scroll down to Deactivate Device Administrator. Follow the directions to deactivate. Then go to Android Settings - Apps and look for Norton App Lock. Scroll down if necessary and tap on Clear Data. Restart the device then go back and set up App Lock again. Remember to reactivate the Device Administrator setting.

Thanks for helpful suggestions. The problem is that this only happens when installing an update to Norton, so it may be a while before I can try them.

I should have asked before. Is it the Norton App Lock app that updates and your settings are changed?

Yes. I've followed the full clear data process in your first post, but I'll have to wait for the next app update to see if it's worked.
