Annoy Securtiy Request pop up

Hi,

I keep getting an annoying pop up it is a Security Request. It says Outbound Traffic Detected. I ran the power eraser and quarantined the low risk threat then I cleared out all the threats in the Resolved security threat drop down. The pop up still persists. What can I do to stop this?

Hello PistolPete1980

Please do nothing else to clean up your computer. Please bring it to one of the free malware removal sites and have them clean up your computer with your help.  They do it safely and it's free. Here is the list. Please pick 2 site and register with them.

Please see this link for an up to date description of these sites plus the addition of a newly listed site formed by one of our successful malware remover users. The new site is listed first in this link.

Please come back and let us know how you made out. Thanks.

Re: Annoy Securtiy Request pop up

I went to http://www.bleepingcomputer.com/ and downloaded Malwarebytes. It's free Anti-Malware software. It found and quarantined  105 threats. I'm about to restart my computer. Hopefully that takes care of it. Thank you

I still am getting that annoying pop up. I am thinking the only option that will correct this issue is to uninstall then re-install Norton.

Re: Annoy Securtiy Request pop up

Hello PistolPete

Please try running Malwarebytes again after running update and see if it has found any more malware and fixed more of it. Sometimes, some malware has to be removed before all of it gets removed.

If that doesn't clean it up, then I would recommend signing up at one of those free malware removal sites and don't try anything else on your own. They do not do remote in-ins. They will tell you what scans to run and then you post the results. They will help you to clean up your computer

Please stay with them until your computer is clean.

We can then help you to reinstall your Norton product if necessary

Please come back and let us know how you made out.. Thanks.

What browser are you using?

Check your Add Ons. Try disabling all and see if this message stops. It has been noted by other users that it appears to be an add on that is constantly 'phoning home' causing this message. Then start enabling them to see if you can nail down which one is causing the issue.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
