Antitrack extension showing as not turned on in Edge but active in My Norton

I recently installed Antitrack and it has worked fine for a couple of days but now the icon in the menu bar is showing as not signed in but when I go through the process of signing in it does not change status. Also, the Antitrack section in My Norton is in green and looks as though it is working. In reality it is not because when I visit websites it does not show which trackers it has blocked.

Re: Antitrack extension showing as not turned on in Edge but active in My Norton

Whenever I find my AntiTrack is misbehaving, which occurs intermittently, I find the AntiTrack icon in the top RH corner of the browser showing a small red 'lump'. My observation of this is consistent with how AntiTrack operates if it's having problems, and doesn't show the presence of trackers indicated by the white number within the green square. If I RB click on the AntiTrack icon and select Manage Extensions, I toggle the Norton AntiTrack switch off and then back on, and then exit the Extensions tab, this usually resolves the AntiTrack problem, such that the AntiTrack icon in browser reverts to showing the number of trackers within the green square. Clicking on the green square in the browser then reveals those detected trackers. After I perform this sequence of actions, AntiTrack returns to normal operation behaving as documented. Btw, If you happen to toggle the extension to Off, and leave it off, Norton AntiTrack will still show it is enabled within My Norton, identified by green tick, but it will not be detecting trackers. This sounds like what you are experiencing. Browser privacy shows as enabled, but tracking is off evident by lack of tracker activity. Reenabling the Norton AntiTrack toggle switch to the On position in the Extensions tab will re-enable detection of trackers. The AntiTrack icon in the browser may display the red lump momentarily, but should then show either the idle Norton AntiTrack icon denoted by the grey octagonal icon, or an active AntiTrack icon denoted by the green square and white number indicating present number of trackers. If the octagonal icon shows, as soon as you access a Web pages, the green square with white tracker count should display. I hope this helps.

Thanks Fishfinger, the old turn off/on worked a treat.
