AntiVirus Identity Safe question

Hey all,

I was wondering if there is a way to disable Identity Safe but still have the Safeweb rating toolbar like you can in NIS. In NIS I can turn off Identity Safe but still get the web ratings, with NAS I do not see that option, the only way I can get the Identity Safe to not show up is to go into add/remove programs and uninstall Identity Safe. Is there a way to keep the toolbar but disable I.D. safe like NIS?

Thanks!

ejd

Re: AntiVirus Identity Safe question

Hi, ejd. Norton Anti Virus does not include the Norton Toolbar. It does in Norton Internet Security, so I'm assuming you downloaded the separate Identity Safe application. If you uninstall Identity Safe, you will lose the Toolbar. You can just keep your vault closed, and not use Identity Safe, as I do, and you will still have the Toolbar functions.

Re: AntiVirus Identity Safe question

Frankly, I don't know why anybody would want to keep the Norton Safe Search toolbar.  I usually avoid using it because all I get is a page full of rubbish before the website I want appears, as the following screen dumps show.

iancol, you can still keep the Norton Toolbar, for a quick visual check on any website you navigate to, but you can uncheck Safe Search from within the vault settings, as I have done.

Thanks, F4E.  I've done it and won't have to suffer any more.

Thanks again,

Ian
