AOL mail won't load if NWP is enabled

I use AOL mail. In the last couple of weeks, after my successful logon to AOL mail, I get the following error message when it tries to load my mail.

This site can’t be reached

guce.advertising.com’s server IP address could not be found.

If I shut down NWP, then my mail loads (no relogon required) . it doesn't seem to matter what country I select in NWP. I live in Canada, but travel so could be in either location. If I re-enable NWP after my mail is loaded, I don't get any errors and mail works as it should.

Configuration: HP laptop running Windows 10 64-bit. Browser is Chrome Version 68.0.3440.106 . Norton extensions not enabled. Also use Norton Security.

I called AOL help (USA) - they thought is was OATH (now owns AOL) wanting me to accept their new privacy - but I never get a screen asking about privacy. They could not assist me any further because I'm in Canada .. :-( . The AOL folks in Canada (at least the one I was transferred to for assistance) was no help and had no clue.

So - any idea how to get around the AOL issue without closing down NWP?

Other question - anyone know who is guce advertising and why AOL/OATH would be redirecting me there after successful sign-in (to mail)

Re: AOL mail won't load if NWP is enabled

The only suggestion I can make for what is guce advertising is that that is a service that AOL uses on their web site. No idea why it would be tripping up NWP. Maybe the NWP DNS servers need some kind of refresh.

I'll see if I can get some info on this.
