App advisor and Wireless Access Point

I have a problem when using Mobile security App advisor to pre-scan a App on Google play before I download it onto an android device. It only occurs when my device is connected wirelessly to a Wireless Access Point. Instead of indicating if a App is "Safe" or not, I just get a "Network Unavailable" message. If the device is connected wirelessly to my main router or on 4G, the App advisor works correctly. Has anyone else come across this problem ?

Re: App advisor and Wireless Access Point

Do all other network apps work correctly from the access point? ie Email, internet?

Re: App advisor and Wireless Access Point

So far I have found all the other Apps on the android device work fine when connected to the wireless access point.

Did this just start happening? Has it worked correctly in the past?

What device and Android version are you using?

What version of NMS is on your device?

Re: App advisor and Wireless Access Point

I have just installed the WAP, and this happened the first I ran the APP advisor, when my phone,  was connected to it.

However, I've just tried using it on my tablet, and the App advisor works fine, it must be something to do with my phone set up

My phone has Android 5.1.1.

Re: App advisor and Wireless Access Point

Maybe check with the WAP manufacturer to see if there is any specific settings required. Not sure why the tablet would work correctly.

What make are the tablet and phone? What OS version and NMS version is on the tablet?
