Hi when I start my computer I'm asked if I want to accept or block /sbin/launchd

It might help us if you can tell us which Norton product you have installed and your operating system.

I'm running Mac OS X 10.4.11 and 10.5 and have installed Norton by Symantec

I had a hunch you had a Mac.  I will ask for your post to be moved to the Norton For Mac board so you can get the help you need.

This file should have been whitelisted, but I can't say because that's an older operating system that I have not used in a while. Either way, it is safe to always allow this application. It is a system file.
