aramaicnt.org

I am required to use the aramaicnt.org website for work and you guys have reported it constantly as a false positive.... I have asked it to be removed from the false positive and it yet has been done.... If this can't be unblocked then I will shut the intelligence feature off on my norton product... if you guys still wont unblock it, then I will ask for a refund of my purchase for norton and take my business elsewhere.... I have to access that website for account and payment information... I have been using that website longer than I have this version of norton and everything worked fine until I installed this. I installed Norton because my PC was hacked 3 different times, but I do not want it blocking a website I have to use. It is NOT unsafe like you think and so I need it unblocked. In the mean time I will be turning off the intelligence feature... I do not appreciate my aramaic language classroom getting blocked especially when its something I pay for on a yearly basis. Again, please unblock the site or I may have to go elsewhere.

In light of Console_Ops confirming that the site is malicious, you may want to ponder how your PC was infected 3 times before Norton was installed and started blocking the website.

Re: aramaicnt.org

Hello warriorprincess

Please submit your link to Virus Total and see what they have to say about that site.

www.virustotal.com

Virus Total will tell you how many antivirus companies find that link malicious.

I explained to Cops that you need that website for work. If the site was safe, he would have changed the rating. You would be best off notifying the owners of the website that there is some malware on their website and have them clean up the site. If they do that, then I can have Cops re-evaluate it again. Once the site is cleaned up, then they will change the rating.

Have a Good Night and

Thanks.

Re: aramaicnt.org

There are a multitude of other people and my class has 23 other people in it... I am only able to access that site by disabling all of the security levels such as the intrusion etc on my norton product. It is the only way I can access my classroom and my home work assignment... I also pay a small yearly tuition fee for my class and so until the website gets marked as safe, I will be leaving my security settings of the software disabled and I use it for work as well... This site is far from malicious and when I looked at the rating that did not make the site malicious.. It simply meant to use caution so caution does not necessarily deem a website bad or malicious. If it were Firefox would have blocked it themselves.

There should be a feature created to choose whether or not to access sites likes this at the descretion of the software user. If the site was malicious which my other security soft ware for iobit, does not deem the site as malicious. Firefox warns me of any site that is malicious and turns the entire site red. It did not do that. It took me right straight to the website. The only problem I have with this site is if I enable all security settings. So your software is blocking a non malicious site...

Before I installed the norton security this website worked fine. I have been a life long user of norton products and I dont want to have to go elsewhere.. Even previous versions would not have blocked it. I have never ever had a website blocked with using any Norton product. Why block a site I have to use? I have been hunting down other antivirus with internet security software incase I need to uninstall the product and go with another antivirus company.... Why not give the user the option to have access to a website that no other browser or other antivirus software blocks? Shouldn't it be the option of the person using the site to have access to it even if they understand the risks involved. So I think you are blocking a site that no one else does. I am in a certification class that I have to get certified with. Anyway, When that site gets unblocked I will re enable my security features on my norton product. Please keep me posted on getting this unblocked. I'm sorry if you dont agree with me, but I have been on that site far longer than Norton Security Deluxe has been installed.

I am the one paying to use your product in the first place and I am on disability as it is, and it was hard enough to afford the 40.00 purchase fee for me to begin with, but I was ordered by my boss to find a stronger security software for my computer as the hack I had nearly cost me my job. I work from home as it is so my income is based on a 1 paycheck income.. Dont you think think I should have access to something I need for work????? I would hope this can be reversed because until it does all security features on my norton product will stay disabled. I would like to be able to use the product fully protected but I will do what I have to in order to be able to access my classroom. How would you feel if you were trying to access a website that the security software reported as a false positive and you asked nicely to have it unblocked and no one would unblock it for you so you can safely secure your pc the way you'd like. If I get hacked again and lose my job, I will unintstall the Norton software and go else where who will not block my classroom. So I'm asking nicely again, please unblock the site so I can fully enable my norton product. When you do I will re enable all features..

Re: aramaicnt.org

btw, I have contacted the website owner and coinhive is not considered malicious.... other people have had this false positive reported too and here is what the site owner says about the coinhive.....

Christina: Lately, every time I go to this web page I get the message ‘dangerous URL blocked’. The URL is coinhive.com. Is that something to do with this site or is it something else? Should I be worried about it?

No, coinhive isn’t dangerous. It’s an alternative to hosting advertisements that some browsing software flags as a nuisance. If it continues to be a bother, I’ll remove it altogether.

    Peace,

Re: aramaicnt.org

To answer that question, Facebook confirmed the first hack as a result of IP addresses from Texas and Mexico when I was talking to my boss on facebook chat and was kicked out of my facebook account and was forced to pay 150.00 to get my account back. Google found the second hack when a memory hogging virus was installed on my pc by professional hackers in Nigeria as they found Nigerian IP addresses as well. Death threats were being sent to me from the hacker as well which I had to involve the FBI.. The security software was disabled each time by these people and then Google had to tighten my security for my gmail. The email that was hacked this time was my outlook/windows live account.. This new hack was done through email and a fraudulent email was sent to my boss from someone in California using my identity. So none of the hacks had anything to do with my involvement.

Re: aramaicnt.org

I will have the website owner change this so it does not register as malicious. I am not the only one having problems with this reporting incorrectly. Other users of this site has as well. Once this is resolved, then I will re enable my security settings.

Re: aramaicnt.org

Hi @warriorprincess4christ,

Thanks for reporting in Norton Community Forums.

JScoinminer is a detection for a JavaScript cryptocurrency miner that runs in web browsers. The javascript coin miner consumes enormous CPU resources, making computer use sluggish. The JavaScript is loaded in the browser when the user visits a web page hosting the JavaScript. The JavaScript runs as long as the user stays on the web page. As long as the website being visited is injected with the coin mining javascript, the website will be blocked by this signature. The computer system is not actually "infected" when this detection triggers.

Recommended Actions:
The browser tab in which the detected URL is open, should be closed. User should avoid visiting the detected website.

If you are a Norton user and wish to access a website blocked by Intrusion Prevention, please go through the exclusion process listed at "Exclude or include attack signatures in monitoring to exclude the Intrusion Prevention detection blocking the given website.

Please refer Web Attack: PUA.JSCoinminer Download for more details.
