are you really safe ????

on 2-25-15 I allowed access to my computer from the tech help of Norton... hmmmm....I think Im working with a tech (on phone) and I get a MESSAGE  telling me to hang up on this "tech" because he was a hacker and trying to access my puter..( this was a call back AFTER they fixed my computer)...  Where did this leave me?  Do I believe the first call back tech ? or do I believe the one who says the first one is a hacker... Im shocked that the company I trust to protect MY computer can be hacked ?????  just saying......

Re: are you really safe ????

Did you call tech support, or did they call you initially?  Was this Symantec's official Norton support, or did you call a third party company that advertises that they offer support for Norton products (if you can provide the phone number, that would be useful).  Whenever you call support, you need to be careful about who you are talking to.  Unless you are sure you are talking to the product's official support channel, you should not let the agent have access to the computer.

Hello

The safest way to get the correct Norton tech support is to come to either the Norton Website or easier yet is to come to the Norton Forum and ask us for the way to get to the tech support.

Success always occurs in private and failure in full view. Windows 10 Pro 64 bit 1903 Norton Core Security Plus 22.19.8.65 Core Firmware 288 Chrome latest version.
