Automatic Scheduled Scans.

I have Norton 360 on my MacBook Pro (Monterey version 12.6), with an automatic full scan scheduled for a Sunday morning.  The past 2 Sundays this scan has not been done automatically.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Re: Automatic Scheduled Scans.

There is a software problem since the 8.8 upgrade.  Norton says a fix is coming next month.

Re: Automatic Scheduled Scans.

Thank you for the information.  Norton might have been a bit more forthright about the software problem - they are quick enough to send emails telling us about all the things they can do!!

You might want to look at some of the more recent posts here to see other issues since the 8.8 upgrade.

The scheduled release of 8.8.1 is sometime this week.

Sadly, the new release has done nothing to solve the scan problem.  I still have to do a manual scan, none of the scheduled scans are done automatically.

My idle scans happen regularly.  By default, idle scans check user folders.  You can change that to scan the startup disk or the entire system.  Do idle scans work for you?   I prefer to run a manual full scan a couple of times a week so that I can be near the computer if the scans find anything.

Re: Automatic Scheduled Scans.

I don't have automatic scan switched on. However when i manually run a full scan it takes around 4 minutes and scans what i believe to be the entire computer. Therefore, to my mind, the scan issue has been resolved with the release of 8.8.1.

Therefore I would suggest that you run a manual scan and see what happens.
