automatic subscription renewal

Hi, I had nortons 2006 antivirus on my computer, I renewed in 2007 online it took 5 hours on dial up,  this fall I tried to renew and it took 8.5 hours and the files were corrupt. Nortons gave me a refund for my purchase of the download and tech support told me to delete my old nortons and purchase a hard copy of the nortons 2009. I have done that and the nortons 2009 runs perfectly, so I will just purchase a hard copy of new Nortons every year rather than risk a download again.

my problem is that one week after I uninstalled nortons 2006 my 2007 subscription ran out and symantec automatically renewed the subscription and charged my credit card.  Can I have the auto renewal feature cancelled, my credit card refunded and still keep my Nortons 2009 from being cancelled.

Re: automatic subscription renewal

Of course you can!

01. Log-in to your Norton Account; if one has not been Created, you can do so.

02. I would also Recommend Contacting Customer Services.

03. If you can get N.I.S. 2009.  If not, then here is important information about a Norton AntiVirus 2009 Feature (below).

Re: automatic subscription renewal

Here's the link to the webpage for cancelling autorenewal:

Please try using this page to cancel your Auto-Renewal (Found using the Learn more link on this page) - https://lcwer.symantec.com/OngoingProtectionCancel/cancel.aspx

And here's how to contact Customer Support on subscription matters (probably the same as when you got a refund)

To contact customer support Click on this link and work on from there.

Based on feedback I'd recommend using the email link making sure you give them full information, probably the same as for the renewal cancellation and when the debit was made against you and whether bank or credit card.

I have not been through the autorenewal cancellation so I don't know if it includes getting you a refund or whether you have to do that separately through customer support.

Good luck and please let us know how it all turned out -- that's how we learn what works!
