Avoid RiseZone posing as Norton tech support

Watch out for a company called RiseZone posing as Norton Support. You get them by calling a phone number that pops up on your screen. They are a scam. You can search for info by typing "RiseZone scam" and you will get lots of hits. Don't give them access to your computer, as I stupidly did. These snakes will do anything not to tell you who they really are and that they have no legitimate relationship with Norton. You will  find out who they are when they send you email asking you for a payment, and you will see that the email is from RiseZone, not Norton. Don't pay them anything! The first clue is if you get someone with such a thick Indian accent you can't understand most of what he says. Maybe the best way is to ask them to send you an email before they try to get money out of you. Or, you can let them ask and just kill the transaction once you see who it's from. They installed all kinds of stuff on my computer and messed with my passwords, so that even after I changed my computer password, they still got on.

Re: Avoid RiseZone posing as Norton tech support

The same exact thing happened to me.  I was feeling uneasy and they were already on my computer.  After reading your review I asked them to stop and tried to kick them off.  All of a sudden they came back on and I watched them change settings.  Now I can't even log in to my computer because they changed my password.  Norton and HP are now helping me.  Thanks to you they never got my credit card info!!
