back up problems

trying to backup up my laptop to an external hard drive, connected by usb. I've tried several times now, but keep getting backup has failed "could not read files to backup". I've backup before with no problems, all the sudden I can't backup. I've tried starting a new backup file, but got same error. i'm running windows10 on laptop. I tried to keep everything updated.

Re: back up problems

Is the USB drive still listed with a drive letter in Windows Explorer, and shown as connected?

Make sure that drive letter is the same as the destination drive letter in your Norton Backup set.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

Re: back up problems

You could just create a new backup set and see if that will backup correctly. If it does, you can try deleting the old backup set using the backup settings.
