backup to local hard drive failing after years of successful operation

Backup, with the settings I use, has operated successfully for several years on a fortnightly basis. I've been all through the settings, checked Hard drive letter etc. There's nearly 1TB left on the drive. Today - I cannot get Backup to run for love nor money..

Anyone solved this ? Any suggestion ?  (operating system Win 10 - which is always open to suspicion).

Re: backup to local hard drive failing after years of successful operation

Hello Ronald. Disable "fast boot" on your system and reboot. Recheck to see if that corrects the issue and let us know. Here is how to do that: https://community.norton.com/en/forums/windows-881-or-10-and-fast-start-feature-0

Cheers
