I am repeatedly being asked if I want to save a new login when the login is not new. Is there any reason for this and can I stop it happening?
Is this a for a web site you have signed into in the past?
Is it showing as a completely new login or is it asking you to update a login for an existing site?
A screenshot of the message will help. Mask any personal information.
This happen for logins I have been using for years! They are sites I use daily. Attached is a screenshot.
I have not run across that particular message. I have seen the Info Bar pop down from the top of the browser with similar messages in the past.
What browser are you using?
Are you still able to log into the web site using the ID Safe login? Does that message come up after you get logged in by ID Safe?
I am using Firefox. I can continue by clicking on "No, thanks" or just closing the window.
And does the message come back the next time you visit the same site?
What happens if you allow the login to be saved? Do you see a duplicate entry in your vault listing?
I have seen this on a few sites after version 184.108.40.2068 of the Norton Firefox extension was released in Aug. It still happens in the latest 220.127.116.11 release. These sites worked fine in the older 2 version. I have been to lazy to to look deep into the problem as it is only a few sites. Possible fix may be to delete the entry in the safe and let the system add a new one. Some day I may give it a try.
Jim, your findings are the same as mine. One of the sites effected is this one!
