bloodhound security risk

I hope someone can assist me with this problem. My symantec auto scan turned up a security risk called bloodhound. When I checked the risks history, I found 4 entries. For each entry it stated:  the action category-left alone; risk type- heuristics; status-left alone; primary-clean; secondary-quarantine; logged by-auto protect; action description-file was left unchanged. Can someone tell me what this all means? My os is xp. Thanks so much for any assistance because my computer has slowed down & I'm not sure if I have to do something or the antivirus program has taken care of that.

Hi 88camaro,

Can you please tell us which Norton product (including version number) you are using? Also, what kind of operating system (including service pack) are you running?

Re: bloodhound security risk

Hi 88camaro:

If you go to resolved, or unresolved threats and click on each one, you should be able to get to "more details."  This will give you a file name and a path, which will tell you more about each one.  These are heuristic detections, which means that the response is based on behaviour, rather than signature.  Once you know which files have been noted, you may be able to submit them to Symantec for a double check, or simply delete them.

Hi 88camaro,

You've ended up in the wrong forum :-) This one is for retail/home products only. Since you have got a corporate product installed, please go to the corporate forums over here to get appropriate help:
