When you set up your backup set, did you click on Preview File List in the Summary tab?
That will bring up this page with the size of the backup set.
Compare the size of the backup set to the available space on your chosen location to store the backups from the Where tab. Be sure there is sufficient space available on the drive you have chosen for storing your backups.
