Can Norton add a shortcut to their icon to turn on/off VPN?

I have had Norton 360 and Norton VPN since it was originally made available.  When VPN is turned on and I try to open Hotmail, I get an error.  I learned that Hotmail will only recognize my IP address.  So, before I open the Hotmail program, I have to turn off VPN.  Once I am logged into Hotmail, VPN can be turned on again.

I've been requesting on Chat for many months for Norton to add a shortcut to their icon to toggle VPN on/off.  Agents have been 3 separate cases, but I've never received an answer.

Currently, I have the icon pinned my taskbar, and when I right click it, the window lists various operations that can be accessed (e.g., disable firewall,  turn on silent mode, disable auto protect, etc.  If VPN on/off toggle is added, it would simplify the task of changing the status of VPN.

Is there someone who has information on this?

Thanks,

Dan

I think you are making a very good suggestion and others have also complained about the same issue. We can hope that Norton is listening and hopefully making changes to the VPN.

@ussmackerel

I agree with @xjoex - a very good suggestion - perhaps a copy and paste of your original post on the Product Suggestion Board would draw more attention and support to your suggestion.
