Cannot add a folder to real time exclusion list

Hi, I use Norton360.  I'm trying to add a folder to real time exclusion list (under Setting>Antivirus>Scans and Risks>Items to Exclude from Auto-Protest, Sonar ....).  I was able to pick the folder that I wanted to add, and it was placed on the exclusion list.  I then clicked Apply and OK.  I thought the folder had been added to the list.  But when I got back into this function, I found there's absolutely nothing on the exclusion list!  Where did it go?  I ran as an administrator.  Can anyone please help?  Thanks.

Re: Cannot add a folder to real time exclusion list

did you run from Windows Admin user account.

did you click Apply after OK

click OK is the small Add Item dialog, then click Apply is the main Real Time Exclusions view.

Re: Cannot add a folder to real time exclusion list

Hi, bjm

Thanks for your advice.  It did work in the end.  What I did wrong was that after adding a folder, I clicked 'OK' on the 'add item' dialog; then clicked 'Apply' on the main dialog, then clicked 'OK'.  This didn't save the folder.  It worked when I clicked 'OK' on the 'add item' dialog; then clicked 'OK' on the the main dialog.  That saved it - did not click 'Apply' at all.  I think the whole procedure is rather confusing.  Norton can improve instructions on how to use this function.

T Kano: Hi, bjm, What I did wrong was that after adding a folder, I clicked 'OK' on the 'add item' dialog; then clicked 'Apply' on the main dialog, then clicked 'OK'.  This didn't save the folder.

OK > Apply > OK saves the file/folder for me.   When Apply goes available (not greyed).  My habit is Apply then OK.  My eye-hand memory sees Apply go available so, Apply gets click, then OK.  Just me.
