Cannot contact support at all

So I got asked multiple times to renew my subscription. Last week I paid 30 pounds for a brand new subscription and downloaded it but it still says I need to renew my subscription. Every time I try and contact the chat it says 'bad gateway'. I couldn't even make a thread on this forum until I uninstalled Norton from my computer. What do I do now? How do I get a refund or get an actual active service with an actual working customer care?

Hello angel. What site did you purchase from or did you purchase from a retailer? OR did you renew using your Norton dashboard clicking the "renew"? Did you get a popup to renew while surfing? What product did you purchase and what operating system are you running? Knowing those few things will help us help you.

Cheers

Re: Cannot contact support at all

I purchased it from the norton site. I did not renew with the dashboard because I thought the software would be clever enough to see norton was already installed, especially with my actual log in... I'm running Windows 10 and I got the basic Norton Antivirus.

Re: Cannot contact support at all

Are you getting emails, or are you seeing popups in your Norton product?

As you are using a new product key to activate your new subscription, your old subscription is still in line to expire shortly. The Norton Account coding does not connect the dots when you start a new subscription while an older subscription is still active. There can be valid reasons for a user to start up multiple subscriptions. Such as a user is using a product for one device, then they purchase a second device and they start a second product subscription. In this case you would see emails up to your expiry date for the old subscription, and possibly up to 30 days after.

If you are seeing the popups in your Norton product, did you enter the new product key into your Norton product? Just making the purchase from Norton does not automatically switch your device from the old to the new subscription.

Also, if you still had days remaining on the old subscription, you can ask support to add them to the new subscription.
