Cannot proactively block mobile apps

Just installed Norton Family on my child's Android phone, only to discover to my dismay, that you cannot proactively block mobile apps. e.g. I don't want my child to install SnapChat, TikTok etc. I can't proactively block this. I need to wait for them to try and install it. I will then get a notification and only at this point, am I able to block it. Isn't it a bit of a cart before the horse design?

Norton Family Android client does not support blocking an app before it is installed. We would however pass this request to our product management team.
