Cannot Update

Hi,

I been having problems all day trying to get Nis2008 to update,

Everytime i Click on Run LiveUpdate,

It Checks for updates, Get green checkmark

Download updates      get green checkmark

Process updates        Failed

Also when i run liveupdate, i always get a symantic popup saying spaex.exe has modify windows startup

And then i click in View details and i get these 2 errors

Update Symantic Common client files to version 7.0.3. This Patch requires reboot,

The Install script for this update was unable to launch a file it needed.

LiveUpdte aborted the update install (error code 1812)

I went to your website and click on Customer support then Techincal Support then found the link to live update and the error code 1812 and did what i said too do and still cant get it to update

I even reinstalled NIS 2008 no success.

I have Windows Vist with 4GB of ram..

Help, Very frustrating..

Thanks for answering right away, I tried your Suggestion and Both still has Failed

LU1812: A program that was part of this update failed when it ran. This update was not applied

Maybe i need to totally remove Nis and reinstall it again, When i reinstalled it i just put int my NIS2008 CD and let Norton removed it. Instead of downloading the Nortons removal tool so it completely removes Nortons off my computer, Should i do this or is there another solution i rather not have to totally remove it and lose my Log in passwords

Update to my problem

I downloaded the latest version of NIS2008 and seem to have fixed my problem.. wooo hoo,. been a frustrating day trying to solve this,

Anyways thought i would let ya all know so don't need to reply for a fix <g>.
