Can't Communicate With Norton Server

My Norton can't connect with the server.  I have repeatedly used the advice in the link below. Uninstalling and reinstalling does not solve the issue.  I can't sign in using Norton on my desktop PC.  I can't use Norton Vault on the desktop either, although I can use the extension on Chrome.

Countless others have posted about this issue and all the answers from Norton simply say to use the NR&R tool. As I say, I've done this repeatedly with the issue unresolved.

Waited 3 hours for a response on the Chat feature on Norton. I have an open case number and gave my email and phone nu,ber.  Norton have not responded.

Given how much I pay for my Norton, I expect this to be solved ASAP.  This is totally unacceptable.

Hello. A little patience with us here along with some basic information would be a great start assisting you. Is there an error code associated with what you are seeing from the Norton login attempts?

First, what is your Norton product and version.

What OS are you using and its version?

Do you have a good ISP internet connection?

Any other A/V software or utilities running on your system?

Have you recently ran live updates on your Norton product and your operating system?

Knowing this bit of info will go a long way in helping us find the issue.

It is Norton Security Deluxe. OS Windows 10 Home Version 1903  fully up to date  Last checked today).  Yes, my internet connection is Sky Superfast broadband and  is good and very stable.   I have Heimdal Thor as extra security.  It has run well alongside Norton for a very long time with no issues.   

PS The box that pops up saying 'Can't Communicate With Norton Server' also mentions a 'Browser Error', even though none of my browsers are open.

    I'm on my laptop at the moment, not the PC with the issue.  Norton works fine on my other devices.

    try running Norton LiveUpdate until no updates + machine Restart (not Shut down)

    try clearing browser cache n' session cookies

    try flush DNS cache

    I've cleared cookies etc and DNS Cache.  No difference, I still can't sign in.

    Live update done and re-booted several times.  No change. Norton still can't communicate with server.

    Um, you're trying to Sign In to _________? 

    I'm on my laptop at the moment, not the PC with the issue.  Norton works fine on my other devices.

    Imagine you've tried another browser.

    Imagine Support will want remote access.  

      I have Heimdal Thor as extra security.  It has run well alongside Norton for a very long time with no issues.   

    Imagine you've removed Heimdal Thor....just to see.

    Ditto!! Remove the dual A/V that are most likely conflicting with one another.

    Clicking on the desktop icon for my Norton Security shows I need to sign in.  Its when I click that, a message box pops up with the 'Can't Connect To Norton Server. Browser Error'  message pops up.  My Norton is showing as active, but only for 3 days at a time, then another pop up says subscription expired please renew.  I get the same can't connect message at that point too, so I have to keep downloading and reinstalling from MY Norton Subscription every 3 days.  The licence has been recently renewed too.  It is really p ing me off.

    Thanks ever so much for taking time to reply.  I will have to wait on the phone or online for 3 hours + and talk to Norton Support.

    I reallly appreciate your advice.  I'll leave my posts as unsolved until Norton get back to me

    Heimdal removed.  Norton still won't connect with its server.  See my last post.  I hope you resolve it before I do.  Keep me informed here.

    Do you have fast startup enabled? If so disable it and reboot.

    Did you use the Advanced Remove Only option when you used NRNR? If not try once more, using Remove Only, restart your computer, then log into your Norton Account using your browser and download a fresh copy of your product.  Be sure you run LiveUpdate manually a few times, restarting as necessary, until no updates are available.

    Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.

    Yup!  Done all that many times.

    Lots of others have the same problem unresolved on these forums and elsewhere.  So I'll have to wait 3 hours on the phone to support, unless someone actually comes up with definite fix here.  

    I'll check here again in a day or so.
