Can't connect to Norton server

I have run a system scan more than once, then am told that I need to take action if I want to remove a list of sites that are tracking me. When I try to do so, I get the eternally spinning wheel, then the message, 'Can't connect to the Norton server.' It suggests disabling the firewall, but Norton runs my firewall. How can I fix this???

Same problem.  I was told Firewall also, but I don't really know how to configure, what I should or shouldn't allow.  I turned VPN off but that didn't solve connection to server after Smart Scan

Re: Can't connect to Norton server

There are two things that can affect accessing Norton web pages. Having an VPN active, and having an ad blocker extension active. Disable both when trying to access Norton web pages, and see if that helps.

Re: Can't connect to Norton server

Thanks for the feedback.  I did disable the VPN and I wasn't using ad blocker.  Anyway, my problem is no longer.  In January I had trouble after upgrading to Win 11. I hadn't backed up anything! Dopey.  I sent my PC in for repair and when it was returned it was almost naked.  That's when accessing websites became difficult.

"My problem is no longer"? So you are no longer seeing the issue you were reporting about connecting to Norton Server? If so, it sounds like there may have just been a temporary server issue between your computer and the Norton server.

Re: Can't connect to Norton server

I'll have the problem every now and then, so I'm not going to worry about it.  I believe that you are correct - temporary server issue occurs.  Thank you.  Ruth L.
