CAN'T DOWNLOAD

I have entered my Product Key and the message says: Already Activated: The product key you entered has already been activated. It does not allow me to click on download! I also do not have a Norton icon on my desktop. I'm not a computer expert so if someone wants to help, please give me easy instructions. If you tell me to try something, tell me where to find it! Thanks.

Just a note: my friend bought my laptop and Norton last year for a gift for Christmas. The Norton download worked last year.

Hi, Sillyheart. You should be able to download your product from your Norton Account.

Sign in, and then you can download your product assuming your subscription is current.

If not, you will either need to renew or buy a new key from a reputable online retailer or shop front store.

If you already have Norton then what do you need to download? Desktop icons are not needed. They are merely shortcuts. Any software can be found by going into the start menu. If you need a desktop shortcut then right click on the program and send it to the desktop. You can also see Norton in your system tray.

I may be out in left field, but I have to wonder if in fact Sillyheart's license has not expired, because of their comment:

So Norton was activated a year ago and the entering of the key again should produce the "already activated".

Perhaps if Sillyheart can tell us a bit more about their situation - if they were trying to renew, had received notices that their Norton was expiring, which Norton product they were using, operating system, browser etc we could provide better assistance.

Hi, yank. Yes, I mentioned if they had a current subscription as it was around a year ago.

We have yet to hear back from the OP, unfortunately.
