Can't get free Norton Identify Safe App for Edge without signing up for Windows Insider?

Hello - On one of my computers - a Lenovo - I tried to GET the free extension for Norton Identify Safe for Edge.  However, rather than just being able to download it I get taken to a screen that seems to require that I first join Windows Insider - something I DO NOT want to do because it says that some of the products they will periodically load may cause data losses, crashes, etc.  WHY is it not possible to just install the free app from the store without this annoying step?

Thanks for your help.

The ID Safe extension will only work with the Windows Creators Update and newer.

You do not have to join the Windows insider program. The Creators Update is being rolled out to Windows users. If you want to get the update now, go to your Windows settings - Update and Security. Check for updates and you should see a note about the Creators update. There is a link below the note to get you the update now.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Identity Safe data.
