check marks (and other icons) superimposed over backed-up files

I recently backed up my hard drive to another drive.  Now, superimposed over all the icons for my files displayed in Windows Explorer, there are these huge check marks, I guess indicating the files have been backed up.  But they all but obliterate the icons (thumbnails of photos, in particular).  How do I get rid of these?  They're really annoying.  I mean a little check might be fine but these are like 1/3 the size of the icons themselves.

Open Norton and go to Settings > on the right you should see Quick Controls.  Uncheck Backup Status Overlays.

Does that solve you problem?

A little bit of knowledge is... well a little bit of knowledge.

To add to Krusty13's info - this is what the overlay icons for backup should look like and what they indicate:

In regards to the size, they should be on the small side - perhaps if larger it has something to do with your resolution?

You can also change the size of the file icons.

Things happen. Export/Backup your Norton Password Manager data.
