child disabling norton

Hi, I just recently installed Norton and am having some problems. On IE, my children's accounts are limited. On their homepage, the Norton paw is on the bottom bar. Apparently, they can click on the paw and disable their account, Also one child was able to access a porn site yesterday and I got no notification that they were on this site. Please help.

To disable norton safety from the toolbar they need your email address and password.Make sure they dont know these or go and change them in your norton account. Also if they dont have admin rights they cant disable the program.

Re: child disabling norton

Hi jalpern,

You are doing right by giving limited rights to your children's Windows accounts.  Also, please keep  your OnlineFamily.Norton account email address and password away from them.  Otherwise, they are able to disable the program.

For the notifications, please make sure "XXX(kid's name visits a blocked site" is selected under Settings -> Notify.

Thanks,

Katie
