children can uninstall app from Moto g6 play

My kids can uninstall the app from their phones by clicking the app, clicking app info, and clicking uninstall. It does not ask for my password or provide any warnings. When I found this out I did check to make sure that Norton family has administrator control, which it did. I uninstalled (without being required to enter my password) and reinstalled the app from her phone and made sure that all the correct settings were in place but I could still uninstall the app. This is an Android Moto g6 play.

Hi @Ekim

Thank you for posting this feedback on the Norton Community. We are investigating options to prevent uninstalls in a complete way. As an interim workaround, you can consider blocking Settings app (from v4.8.2 onwards)

My kids can also uninstall the app from their phones, LG Xpower 2,  by clicking the app, clicking app info, and clicking uninstall ,without a password.  This was not an issue back in December when I first installed norton family from the google play store.  Kindly please fix this big problem asap.

Hi @Gopala,

Thank you for posting this feedback on the Norton Community. We're sorry for the inconvenience. Please be assured that the team is aware of this issue, and it’s currently being worked on. Once a fix is in place, we’ll post an update to this thread. In the meantime, can you consider blocking Settings App from Norton Family portal/parent app under House Rules->App Supervision, to prevent the app from being uninstalled?

Regards,
Norton Family team
