Chrome extension can be disabled by family member

My kid can easily disable the Chrome Norton Family extension in Chrome's Settings page. Will this be fixed in the future?

What is the consequences of a disabled Norton Family extension in Chrome? no web activity logging? no blocking?

Re: Chrome extension can be disabled by family member

First, when the Norton Family detects the extension is disabled, the Norton Family program sends an alert to the parent.  If you are getting  the messages that add-on for the product is disabled on your child's machine,  when you see the message, please check the browser that your child uses to see if the Norton Family is enabled.  You can find it by clicking Tools -> Extensions in Chrome if Chrome is being used.

The Norton Family program still logs Web activities and also blocks websites.  The disabled functions are social networking and video monitoring (for Premier users) if the Norton Family extension is disabled.

Thanks Katie
