chromeqs.exe detected as SONAR.Heuristic.120

17/10/2015 12:27:56 AM,High,chromeqs.exe (SONAR.Heuristic.120) detected by SONAR,Quarantined,Resolved - No Action Required,c:\users\....\appdata\roaming\quickscan\chromeqs.exe

This is a false positive but I cannot easily submit the file as it has been quarantined. However it can be obtained from http://quickscan.bitdefender.com/

Could someone possibly help do this?

Many thanks.

Check out this thread. It may help with advice on what you need to do.

Do you have Bitdefender active on your computer ? If so, it should be uninstalled as you should not have 2 antivirus programs active at the same time.

Windows 10 Home X 64 Norton Security Premium Current

Re: chromeqs.exe detected as SONAR.Heuristic.120

Thanks for the comments.

I do not have Bitdefender active but I occasionally run the online quickscan http://www.bitdefender.co.uk/scanner/online/free.html.

The other thread you referred to was in fact my own (Posted: 21-Apr-2014) and at that time I was able to get confirmation of a false positive. Now however, it seems no longer possible to submit the URL on it's own, but if anyone knows how to get this checked again, then perhaps they could kindly do this and come back with the results?

Many thanks,

Step 2 offers box to enter URL > - Alternatively - If the software is available to download please provide the direct URL:

https://submit.symantec.com/false_positive/standard/  which is page 4 from > https://submit.symantec.com/false_positive/

Or, restore from quarantine and upload.
