Comcast Users Left Out Again/Still!

Now, we Comcast users are really behind the 8 Ball with Firefox's latest update to 21. At one point during this whole adventure which has lasted way too long, I thought about purchasing a Norton stand alone product. Not any more. Their treatment of Comcast customers has been pitiful and this is not the kind of customer service I choose to experience. I'll be looking for a new app that exceeds my expectations in providing identity safe functionality with superb customer service. I wonder how many more Comcast users will be doing the same?  What a shame ....

As a side note, but an important one - Thank you Yank for doing all that you could!

Re: Comcast Users Left Out Again/Still!

Im thinking with the poor service Ive had with comcast over the years its more likely them not norton.

Even tho' Ive used norton paid for years past before comcast...I just dont want to go back to paying for norton because they make us save pw in the cloud online now in new products.  I dont trust that.  Other then that Id of gone back.

What makes you think its norton?  Of course if you call comcast theyll say that because they have no clue when you reach a random csr.

Re: Comcast Users Left Out Again/Still!

Totally agree that Comcast shares poor custormer service and therefore part of the blame. I did actually speak with a rep from Comcast Exec Offices who apologized but couldn't give me any information "due to legal issues." I'll soon be ditching Comcast as my promo period is up in a few weeks and have found a great alternative.  So I guess all of this will be moot soon enough for me. Wishing you the best in your own resolution.

FWIW and a bit off topic - some folks have no choice for broadband in their area other than Comcast.  I would welcome with open arms a broadband alternative in my area.

Hi everyone, I'm very sorry for this bad experience. This is not something we want to repeat, that's for sure. We're working to get an update to Comcast customers very soon. Be sure to check the Norton 360 board for any NSS updates. Thanks for hanging in there with us.

I'm getting a smart tv and not sure about the wifi yet... maybe this would be an option for you. I don't do a whole lot on the net nor watch a lot of TV.

Best wishes, Yank and thanks again!

Re: Comcast Users Left Out Again/Still!

Mr. Weiss,

Since Symantec released for its direct subscribers the NTB updates for Firefox 22 compatability at the beginning of this week, can you give us an ETA when the same updates will be bestowed upon us Comcast customers?

Hopefully, the 6+ week delay associated with the Firefox 20/21 matter will be avoided this time around.

Re: Comcast Users Left Out Again/Still!

Hi msheldon,

While I can't give any specific dates, I can tell you that we are working to get a Firefox 22 patch released to Comcast Norton Security Suite 20.3.1 customers are quickly as possible. I will definitely update the forums when the compatibility patch has been released for Comcast customers, so please stay tuned. Thanks.
