Computer Power Down

Hello,

If my machine is "idle" (just streaming) a Norton window will pop-up after about 30 minutes with a message "The computer will turn off in #:## seconds."

I have searched for a reference to this "Computer Power Down" and can find nothing. I wish to turn this feature off as I use my PC for streaming a lot.

Please help.

Re: Computer Power Down

Hi @sp08332,

Can you please check if you have set shutdown computer after Idle system scan in Norton Settings?

Re: Computer Power Down

My "Edit Scan" screen looks exactly like the one above. 1) Run at certain time, 2) Run every 30 days, 3) Only AC/Prevent Standby, 4) After scan stay on.

Re: Computer Power Down

sp08332. Check your power settings internal for Windows. Under- Control Panel>Power Options>Change Plan Settings>Change Advanced Power Settings. Look for any settings related to a time for the computer to put itself to sleep, hibernate, turn off hard disks. I have mine set to NEVER by adding 0 in the field for time and pressing enter. This prevents the device from inadvertently shutting down when its not supposed to if its not scheduled.

Cheers
