Configuration guide with PPOE ADSL providers

Is there a definitive guide on how to best configure your Modem/Router and the Norton Core when using a PPOE (not supported by the Core)?

Theoretically Norton is working on enabling that, but for now it seems like a cluster with conflicting advice.

Since direct PPPoE isn't supported by the Norton "core" router, you have to fall back to a double NAT set up.

Assuming your modem handles the PPPoE and provides you with a DHCPed LAN side you should also disable WiFi on the DSL modem and then plug the Norton "core" router's WAN port (and nothing else) into (one of) the DSL modem's LAN port(s).
