Configuring Norton Security for mySQL or MariaDB
? Does Norton Security (still) require any configuration when MySQL (Oracle's product) or MariaDB (the independent version of mySQL) are installed?
The mySQL/MariaDB documentation recommends excluding the Database folders from Norton's scans.
However, a Norton Forum search shows nothing for MariaDB and only old posts for mySQL.
I'm wondering is Norton Security now "wise" enough to not need the Database folders specially excluded from its scans because it recognises them and scans/behaves appropriately with the database files?
Or should I still exclude the Database folders from scanning via Norton Security's Admin settings?
