Confused about "Issues" with devices on account

I'm confused.  I have a 10-license package of Norton 360.  When I log into my Norton account it finds devices with "issues."  My problem is that the devices have meaningless names like Pete Windows 7-3.  My services page shows my package with 7 licenses allocated (actually only 5 are actively used).  How can I reconcile the "devices" with the device name associated with my product license?

Re: Confused about "Issues" with devices on account

Thank you.  As a general idea, this would seem to work, but first the UI has changed and the Devices no longer shows how long a device was online or offline.  Next, in a distributed organization with 7 PCs scattered around, I can't really control when one will be turned off.  I do understand the approach though, and in retrospect, should have changed the identity when I brought the devices online, although some of these have been around for 5-6 years and I guess at the time, I didn't think of that.  The idea that some devices aren't protected is good and I wish I could figure out which ones they were.

What I really need is what others have suggested, a way to link the name in Services to the Device and I don't see a way to do that.

I appreciate your help!!!!!

Re: Confused about "Issues" with devices on account

Hello Pete

If some of the devices are computers, you can look at Help> About. The Device name is listed right on top. The other name is the windows name for the device.

Thanks.

Thank you!  I had such high hopes, but I can't find Help>About anywhere.  There's no link on the Devices page or on a device and I still can't find a link between the machine name and the device name in Services.

Hello Pete

The Help>About I was referring to is on the main page of your Norton product. It's on the upper right side, below the Signed In As.

Thanks.
