Confused over actions to take

Windows Vista 32 bit home premium w/service pack 2

IE7 browser

NAV2008

I think I'm getting a little confused by what Norton Users need to do when infection is blocked

Example, My Norton indicates that it stopped Trojan.Pidief.G

When I look online in the Norton data base about Trojan.Pidief.G it gives all these instructions on how to remove it and clearing system restore, etc

But that is for those who do not yet have Norton product right? I mean it is like a courtesy to them on how to manually do what the norton product automatically does right? I mean those of us who have a Norton product don't need to maually go in and take action right?

When it shows that Norton blocked the intrusion attempt, it just means that Norton is working properly and took necessary action to protect your computer. If you have to do anything manually, Norton will indicate it and inform you.
