Controlled Folder Access: Use with Norton
With Windows 10 version 1709, Microsoft introduced Control Folder Access (CFA) as a safeguard against ransomware encrypting user data. However, if I understand correctly, to deploy CFA requires that Windows Defender real-time protection enabled. Norton Internet Security turns off Windows Defender.
Two questions: Is Norton Internet Security providing comparable protection against ransomware to CFA such that I do not need to deploy CFA?
And if not, can I have both Norton Internet Security and Windows Defender running at the same time?
Thanks for any insights.
